It’s that time of the year when we often reflect on the past 12 months. For some of us, 2015 might include thinking ahead regarding our health and well-being. That being said, January is recognized as National Thyroid Awareness Month.
So what is the thyroid? It’s a small, butterfly-shaped gland located in the base of the neck just below the Adam’s apple. It’s responsible for producing hormones that regulate our metabolism, as well as other body organs.

At the start of the month I helped out at a local Christian author’s meet and greet which highlighted the work of seven authors from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
